T7 Volkswagen Transporter – Now available to order

It’s been a long time coming, but the next generation Volkswagen Transporter 7 is now available to order in the UK!

With great warranty and finance deals available, we now know that prices for the New Volkswagen 7 will start from £30,995.00 plus VAT for the base manual model. There will initially be three specifications to choose from; Commerce, Commerce Plus and Commerce Pro, each available in two lengths.

The short wheelbase T7 offers a length of 5,050mm and an exterior width of 2032mm wide, without considering the wing mirrors. This represents an increase of 146mm and 128mm compared to its predecessor, gaining even more space for your custom campervan conversion. The long wheelbase model that adds a further 400mm in length, 5,450mm in total. The same as the All-New Ford Transit Custom.

All models, ‘Commerce’ will come with some great features as standard, such as a 13-inch touch screen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, 12-inch digital driver’s display, cruise control, rear parking sensors, keyless start and heated door mirrors.

Commerce Plus specifications then add features such as body-coloured bumpers, front and rear mudflaps, front parking sensors and a reversing camera. The Commerce Pro then gains features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, heated seats, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring.

The initial launch offers two diesel engines and an electric version.

Both diesel engines have a 2 litre, four-cylinder turbo charged engine and are available in 110PS or 150PS. For the first time both manual models will offer a 6-speed gear box.

The e-transporter then boast a 136hp motor and 83kWh battery, on a single speed automatic gearbox.

Volkswagen suggest a 170PS diesel, 218hp and 286hp electric version and plug-in eHybrid are due to launch later, as part of the Transporter 7 series, but they are not available to order just yet…
